Properties of Light
This project explored the properties of light including the way it travels through space; creates shadows depending on the materials it is hitting or passing through; and evokes emotion through shape, color, density and brightness.
The task was to build three black cubical boxes with one translucent side serving as a screen and manipulate the light using various materials, with the intent of creating a graphic projection of the assigned phenomena on the screen, including Buoyancy, Compression, Calm, Energy, Jittery, etc. I chose to illustrate Float, Grotesque, and Decay.
